This menu item links you to your Email Home page.

My_Email

1. Click on My Email to go to your Email Home page which opens to your Inbox. There are several components to this page:
2. The Folders list let's you organize your email into easy to find folders you create yourself. The Folders section is consistent throughout email
3. At first, you have 4 folders available:
The Inbox: This is where email initially comes.
Sent Items: A setting in your Profile allows you to save your Sent Items, they are not saved otherwise.
Deleted Items: This is where Deleted Items are warehoused until you clean out the folder.
Junk Mail: This is a repository folder for you to hold email.

Folders

4. You have a 50 megabyte limit on your email, any saved email, email in folders, including your Deleted folder contributes to your email size. If you have stopped receiving emails, check your folders and clean them out, this may be why.
5. Along with the standard folders, you can create new folders to store e-mails.
6. To create a New Folder, Click on the Add Folder icon in the upper right corner of the Folders section of the page.

7. This places a New Folder in the Folders list along with and Editing icon Edit_Icon and a Delete icon Delete_Icon.
8. Click on Edit_Icon to open the New Folder for editing the name. There is a 256 character limit on the folder name.
9. Click on Save_Iconto save your changes.
10. Click on Cancel_Icon to cancel and discard any changes you've made.
11. The new folder will be in the list with any saved changes made.
12. Your Inbox has the messages as you receive them, indicators if they are flagged, have attachments, are read or unread, and what importance level they are.
13. You can select one or several messages at a time using the check boxes to the left of the messages.
14. Previously opened messages will have an open envelope to the left of the subject line Open_Envelope.
15. Unopened messages will have a closed envelope to the left of the subject line Closed_Envelope.
16. The toolbar across the top of the messages gives you additional functionality for your email
17. New_Email_Button This opens a new email message for you to write.
18. The Compose New Email form opens:
19. In the Add Individuals section you can select who you're sending To, Carbon Copying, and Blind Carbon Copying.

20. To: Person or People receiving the e-mail. Click on the To: box to access your address books, or type in an email address.
21. Cc: Person or People receiving a copy of the e-mail. Click on Cc: the box to access your address books, or type in an email address.
22. Bcc: Person or People receiving a copy of the e-mail without the other recipients being able to see their name or email address. Click on Bcc: the box to access your address books, or type in an email address/
23. The Subject: line is optional and is used to quickly summarize the message.
24. You can select people to send emails to by Last Name Begins With:, or by using the Last Name Search, from the Community Directory or your Personal Directory.
25. Select a Name, then the To, CC, or BCC button.
26. Click on Close when you are finished.

27. In the Add Community/Groups section, you can select all the members of any Group you belong to; or, if you are a Community Administrator, you can send an email to the entire community.

28. In the Groups box, click Drop_down_arrow to see a list of the groups you belong to. As a Community Administrator, you will also see Entire Community.
29. When you click on a group from the list, it will show in the space below the white box with the Delete icon next to it:

30. To remove the Group from the mailing, click on Delete_Icon and the Group is removed from the mailing.
31. In the Attachments section you can up to 5 megabytes of files to your email.

32. To add an attachment click on the Select button, the choose file dialog box opens allowing you to navigate to the desired file on your computer.
33. You can add several files to one email, click on the Add button to add additional files.
34. If you decide you do not need one, click the Check_Box to select the item to remove and click on the Remove button.
35. A Toolbar above the Subject Box gives you options for formatting, spell check, and more. See the Toolbars and Menus page for detailed information about these buttons.

Underlines Selected text, click again to un-Underline

Search_Button

Searches message for text

Strikethrough_Button

Places line through text, for editing

Print_Button

Prints text

Superscript_button

Creates superscript text

Background_Color_Button

Changes the background color

Subscript_Button

Creates subscript text

Font_Color_Button

Changes the font color

Number_Button

Creates a numbered list

Hyperlink_Button

Adds hyperlink to text

Bullet_Button

Creates a bulleted list

Insert_Symbol_Button

Inserts symbol in text

Left_Justify_Button

Left aligns text

Insert_Table_Button

Inserts table

Center_Align_Button

Center aligns text

Cut_Button

Cuts selected text

Right_Justify_Button

Right aligns text

Copy_Button

Copies selected text

Justify_Button

Justify aligns text

Paste_Button

Pastes text

Horizontal_Rule_Button

Inserts a horizontal line in the message

Copy_Word_Button

Pastes text with MS Word formatting

Undo_Button

Undo's the last action

Select_All

Selects all in Message Box

Redo_Button

Redo's the last action

Bold_Button

Makes selected text Bold, click again to un-Bold

Choose_Font

Font select drop down

Italics_Button

Makes selected text Italics, click again to un-Italic

Choose_Size

Font size selection

36. You can use any of the above formatting tools on the text in the message body.
37. When finished, click on Send to send the email.
38. A dialog box opens to show you the progress of the upload if you have attachments in you message.

39. Click on Cancel to discard any changes and close this page.

Delete_Mail_Button

Deletes the selected messages

Flag_Button

This adds a visual reminder to follow up on this item

Empty_Deleted_Button

Permanently deletes all messages in the Deleted Items folder

Unflag_Message

Removes the flag

Mark_as_Read_Button

Marks the selected message read, even if you have not opened them

Move_To_Button

Moves the selected message or message to another folder

Mark_as_Unread_Button

Marks the selected message unread, even if you have opened them

Get_Mail_Button

Click here to receive new messages.
